Extend the life of Dell laptop battery massively by customizing charging

Image
The battery is one of the component that gets degraded very quickly in the electronic devices. Some of the mobile phones are providing the battery protection which limits the charging once the battery reaches 85%. This is because the last 15% takes more effort to charge and will reduce the battery life. When coming to the case of laptop, if you usually plug it in while working, then the battery will tend to reach 100% and then stop the charging. So, if the battery charge is 90% and then you plug in, it will charge to 100%. If you don't usually need to work on a battery, we can avoid this charging by limiting the charging until the battery is discharged to a particular level. In the Dell Laptop, the Dell Power app helps in achieving this.

Is India heading for a recession or is it the millennial being rational?

There is a slowdown in the automobile sector and the sales did not boost up during the festival season 2019. Even with the government providing stimulus, the car sales didn't pick up. There is another news about "Amazon.in sells Rs 750 cr worth of premium smartphones; Flipkart sees 2X growth on day 1" ( source ). Well that is a whopping 750 crore just for the premium smartphone by one seller in one day. And the total sales would be very much higher this festive season. So, can we consider the slow down in automobile sector as a sign of an economic slowdown?

Electronic Waste - Reduce your footprint - Mobile Phones

I have seen products from manufacturers that look-alike a costly branded one. These products costs less (sometimes far cheaper) than the branded one, but an initial look and feel will be the same as the branded one. Be it dress, shoes or Smart Phones. But when considering long term usage, we are spending more with the cheaper products. Take the case of Smart Phones (Apple iPhone does not need a comparison here!) You have the market leader Samsung and other Chinese made like Moto/Lenovo, Honor, Oppo, Lava etc. They advertise the components used are faster and better than the market leader but costs half or less. But, they are not durable. An accidental fall is just enough to kill them. Recently when Corning introduced the Gorilla Glass 5, they mentioned this variant is harder than the predecessor, but they don't have control over the Smart phone manufacturer on how it is integrated with the device. So, the health of the display depends in part on the housing that holds it. ...

I'm slowly regaining my online life

I have been inactive for a while in the Internet. This was not just because I was busy with work, but because of some ideas that I'm trying to implement and achieve. Hope I will be successful in it. I am trying to regain my online life and getting support from the community on my new venture. I will post more details soon.

MONEY IS YOURS BUT RESOURCES BELONG TO SOCIETY

This is from a mail forward I got from my friend. I'm not sure if this is real, but the idea is not fun. We are living in a world where you mostly judge people by their appearance and their behavior. I have seen many group of people wearing all sorts of modern fashion (let them believe it...) and creating noise in public places. But when you single out a person and ask, he might be from a not-so-high-funda family, but showing all this stuff just to be in the company of one or two of their millionaire friends... In their company they do all sorts of mischief, knowing that it is wrong. They race their cars in public roads, spend money unnecessarily, waste food and like. But, coming to the point, wasting resources, we also do this, knowingly or un-knowingly at some point. Try to limit your resource utilization, because there are many out there who are not able to get food at least once a day. now read on... Below is a note written by an Anonymous visitor to Germany.
